(e) Public Works Department Engineers 'pensions

would be £611 per annum.

(1) European Schoolmasters 'pensions would be

£497 per annum.

(c) Assistant Government Marine Surveyors'

pensions would be ₤366 per annum.

and on the proposed scale put forward by us

£461 per annum. These figures are approximate

and exclude rent allowɑnce addition, and take

into consideration the pension based on average

years of Service. It is sufficient, however,

to indicate a grave disparity in this vital

matter, which we feel sure Your Lordship will

egree must be viewed with concern by us .

In conclusion, te humbly entreat

Your Lordship's most earrest consideration, and

with full confidence in the justice of our

petition, we now respectfully request that pend-

ing the receipt of Your Lordship's reply, the

Hong Kong Government be asked to refrain from

making any alteration to our present salaries,

in the event of the new scale being introduced

in the meantime.
